Our Historic Cottage

Nestled on the side of the dramatic Shibden valley, Shibden View Cottage offers luxury, self-catering accommodation for up to four adults. Situated on the cobbled Hough, our 18th century building boasts two bedrooms, both en-suite, a fully fitted kitchen/diner and a cosy , first floor snug with panoramic views over the Shibden estate.

Shibden View Cottage offers the best of both worlds – close to Halifax town centre, yet set in a secluded location with countryside views. With many of the original features intact, the cottage combines period charm with all the comforts of a modern home. The perfect base for exploring West Yorkshire.

About Us

We bought the cottage in 2018, but have always lived locally. We renovated and extended the cottage ourselves, with help from our family, and manage our property ourselves too – allowing us to give every stay that personal touch!
